Bower Ponds Fall Family Photos Red Deer

I met the Huseby family at Bower Ponds this fall to get a few family photos before all the leaves had blown away.  We were fortunate with the best of both worlds having awesome color in the trees and a lot of leaves on the ground.  The late afternoon was perfect weather with a strong warm sunset.

Downtown Urban Portrait Photography | Red Deer

I met with Taylor and her BFF and we headed to downtown Red Deer to take some creative, fun, casual, and modern style photos.  We had no real agenda or list of specific shots so we just walked the streets and shot whatever came to mind.  This is one of my favorite shooting styles.  I love shooting in the urban setting and having freedom to shoot anything and everything!  Here are a few shots that were my favorite from that evening.

Please like my facebook page and visit it to view more photos from this shoot ;)

Family Group Outdoor Photography | Sylvan Lake Red Deer

Another successfull family photo session at Heritage Ranch!  I love Heritage Ranch and all of its great places to shoot during the fall.  This time I met up with a large family that was together for Thanksgiving.  First we took some large group shots then broke up into smaller families and took a few more.  Here are a few of my favorites;)

If you are interested in getting family photos, please send me an email or give me a call and we can chat about what you have in mind.

Portrait Photography | Sylvan Lake Red Deer

#1- A close crop on this photograph.  See the "original" below and two other crops of the same photo.
Portrait Photography doesn't have to be like your kids school photos.  You can create simpler photographs that look better and have more creativity as long as you keep your mind open.  Being in a creative mood when editing will help you to see a photo within a photo.  Tight cropping, rotation, and duplicating of good photos can help you capture something different after the photo has already been shot.

Destination Hawaii Beach Casual Photography

Hawaii is a great place to shoot photographs.  Hawaii is actually a great place for almost anything except skiing and hockey.  I shot a quick casual beach session while I was there and have these photos to share with you.
