Baby Studio Photography | Sylvan Lake Red Deer areas

Hey Everyone!

The studio photographs of Payton Wallace are complete and ready for you to check out.  Poor Payton was not a big fan of the big flash!  A little upset throughout most of the shoot but we did our best, worked together and still were able to get a lot of great super cute photos....

Olympic lifting course by Performance Edge Consulting | Crossfit

Here are some of my favorite photos from the Olympic lifting course that is currently being held tuesday and thursday at PURE fitness in Red Deer.  In this sequence of photographs, students were learning proper deadlift, hang clean, and overhead squat technique.  I hope to get to at least one other class and will post more photos as I take them.

Lessons learnt: low and mixed light

RDES PC ceremony "C" shift

Taking photos of this ceremony was a difficult task due to low and difficult mixture of light.  I was faced with high ceilings complete with fluorescent lights that casted a greenish hue.  I had small amounts of natural light coming in through small windows on the bay doors that flanked my subject areas.

RDES Memorial Service

It was an emotional day as I stood behind the lens to document Red Deer Emergency Services first "line of duty death" memorial service.  Held at the Westerner grounds in Red Deer, we were joined by many family, friends, and fellow brothers from various fire departments around the province.  An honor guard complete with pipes and drums led members in march into the Harvest center where the service was held.  Finally, outside we gathered once again.  This time for a final salute as we said farewell to our fallen brother.

First Studio Subject | Test

Sorry Cooper!  Actually who knows maybe he liked being my first model?  Cooper sat there calmly for me for about 15 min before getting a bit restless.  It was in my benefit that he was scared to jump off the chair and run away.  Or perhaps waking him up from his nap and putting him straight on the chair helped?  Either way, he was a good dog ;)
